Hi all, I am a new user of Lightburn purchased to go with my ACMER P2 33w Diode laser.
I am trying to start a Library of materials ( to give Cut and Engrave settings ) but I am having problems creating sub-levels in the material ie One for " Basswood - 3mm Cut & Engrave. I have taken screen grabs showing what I did for other materials such as “Paper - Tracing Paper Cut & Engrave” and “Paper - White Paper Cut & Engrave” and Slate etc etc
Now for some reason when I try to do the same for the “Basswood - 3mm” I cannot get the “Engrave” to appear in the same branch as “Cut”!!!
Can anyone help with how I do this please? I have attached the screen grab which might make it a bit clearer!
Thanks
Kev
You have “Slate” as both the material name and the title. Make the title “engrave”
Use the title for engraving. Different names will put in different folders.
Where the 0.00 is pit your material thickness. Different thickness will add seperate folders.
Hi
The slate one is not my issue as that will only have engraving in it. Where I am running into problems is the Basswood where I cannot put an Engrave folder in with the Cut as I did in Paper. Ultimately I would like to have 3mm, 5mm, 10mm etc etc. all with sub headings in them. I managed to do it in Paper ( White Paper and Tracing Paper and you can see Cut & Engrave in those folders. But for some reason it won’t let me do it for the Basswood??? Cheers ( Oh and using version LightBurn 1.7.07 )
Let me show you a closer look at what I mean. Here you can see what happens when I try to add the engrave setting to 3mm Basswood!!! It does not go under 3.00mm but goes into a totally new one called 3.00mm above it???
I see what you are saying. I can’t duplicate the problem on 1.7.07. Whenever I change the title from cut to engrave it makes a different folder.
Thanks for trying Jeff, I have managed to do it by key bashing till it worked😂, not 100% sure how but it is done!!!
I was able to do what is under basswood 3.00. One of the lines is set to fill the other to line. See my picture above under the 0.00.
Cheers mate,
