Unable to load Lightburn

Started Lightburn earlier today and it asked me to update to latest version which I did. Since then I can’t get past the splashscreen, just won’t open. This is an HP Ryzen laptop with Win 11 with all updates but none in the last couple of days.

Opened task manager but no trace of the app in there.

Anyone got any suggestions please?

Thanks,

Ralph

Hi Ralph! That’s definitely not normal or ideal.

If LightBurn is failing to launch (as task manager proves) but you’re getting the LightBurn splash screen, I’d start with a fresh install, just to rule it out (I know, you just did that, but bear with me - it’s an important first diagnostic step!)

Then, if that doesn’t fix things, I would try installing the Release Candidate of LightBurn 2.0 - it installs as a separate app, so none of your devices or other settings will transfer over, and if that opens up with success, that’s a good data point for us to build off of.

You can get that release candidate here: Public Release Candidates – LightBurn Software

Or the latest LightBurn release here: Download / Trial – LightBurn Software

Thanks Colin. I had already done a reinstall but I hadn’t done an uninstall first. So I did the uninstall and then a reinstall using your link and it now works fine thanks. Just need to sort out my material library but fortunately I have another system with it on.

Thanks again Colin.
