it seem to move to the front left corner and grinds. I can seem to figure out how to prevent that.
What machine do you have? Is it the Longer Ray5 listed in the profile?
When does it do this? I assume at homing time but please confirm.
If so, can you confirm that your machine has homing switches? There should be one each for X and Y axes. These are likely mechanical switches that are actuated when the laser head reaches the front and left of the machine.
From memory, I believe your machine may not come with homing switches.
If that is indeed the case, then you need to do a manual homing procedure by putting the laser head at front left of machine before powering it on. In that case, disable “Auto-home on startup” in Edit->Device Settings.
when I connect the usb cable is when it does it
Is LightBurn open when you do this? If so, that’s likely due to “Auto-home on startup” being enabled as I’ve indicated above.
Can you answer the other questions posed in the previous reply? Those are relevant to determine root cause.
