Universal Laser Systems VLS 3.50 - Technical details

Hi!
Anyone having access to a Universal Laser Systems 3.50 or 3.60 machine and the “cutting board” i.e. with the honeycomb pattern intended for laser cutting (instead of engraving)?

I am trying to get the pin-out of the connector of the cutting board so that I can build my own. The original is very expensive…

The connector on the underside of the board uses some of the pins in the connector to tell the controller that the cutting board is installed, as opposed to the engraving board or the rotating engraver appliance. The pins are simply wired together.

I am attaching my own pin-out for the engraving board as a reference for what I am looking for.

Hi again!
I am happy to say I figured this one out through some measurements and trial and error.

Attaching my findings in case anyone else wants to convert an engraving board to a cutting board.

To protect the board I have added a 60 x 30 cm hard black floor tile over the aluminium board and then added a suitable honeycomb mesh on top of that to distance the objects from the board to ensure the laser focus point does not touch the protective board.
