Upgraded to Lightburn 2.1.03
Omtech 100W with Ruida Controller
Macbook Pro, Tahoe 26.5.2
Verified IP to 192.168.1.x to match the Mac at 192.168.1.x,
I get a clear connection when I ping the laser, so I know it’s connected to the network, however, i cannot get the laser to connect to Lightburn.
I have rebuilt the laser several times to verify it’s built correctly, (mind you, it’s been running perfectly for a year or so.)
It’s not locked out through the firewall. I have redownloaded and reinstalled the Lightburn twice now to no joy.
What else can I check? What did I do wrong?

You using WiFi or ethernet?
Did you try using USB?
Was it working with Lightburn in the past?
Tha is for responding. Ethernet, as the USB port was having issues and even though OMTech sent the parts to fix the usb, I didn’t want to be tethered to the laser. It’s designed to work WiFi or Ethernet and that’s what works best in my shop. But yes, it had worked previously. I actually figured the issue out about 5 minutes ago and here is the result: when rebuilding the device in Lightburn the controller connection was built on “Ethernet or WiFi/TCP Ruida” and for my system it needed to be on the “Ethernet or WiFi/UDP”.
I’m not sure what the difference is and I’m up and running!
