Using LB with Ruida as ploter - success

First test and woilaaa, success!

After some redesign of head holder and adding some parts, finally I can cut ripstop fabric and draw the sewing lines on it (for making my RC paragliders)!!

That’s impressive! How did you implement the pen-up/pen-down sequence?

If you use a Z-offset (downward) LightBurn will just do that automatically, lowering the Z, doing the cut, and raising it again. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do myself to show how, so I’m happy to see someone else beat me to it.

Does the Z action refer to moving the bed? In this clip, the pen is up and down, and the bed doesn’t move.

True - I hadn’t noticed that, but you’re right. It sounds like a solenoid activating, so it could be set up as “laser 2” triggering off the enable signal for the 2nd tube.

Yes I use second laser signal for activating magnet (which raises and lowers the pen)!
