On the bottom of the letter v in my project the v-bit followed an unusual path. I’m using a 90 degree v-bit 1/4 diameter with a final depth of 5 mm. This is version Pro-Trial mode RC-6.
Is it possible that the letter is no being filled all the way out to the edge? Note the malformed bottom on both left and right.

It looks like the output is being affected by the toolpath not being depth limited
So the 1/4" bit’s cutting edge is plunging below the top surface of the material

That solution works…
But as I look at the original run it seems to be that this is a fix till they finally get the carving down right.
If you look at the original path you can see how the little hump on the right is created and then on the left that the bit is being pushed too far with the wrong lift the bit rate.

As for the total depth necessary yes the bit goes past the hilt of the V.
There actually should had of been a secondary path created to circumvent this problem.
I believe that version RC-4 had the right results.

I confirmed that RC-4 works correctly and automatically like your solution. They have changed the method and are attempting to do it in one pass. Great Idea but they are still need to make adjustments
