probably not in the right section, but had to put this up
so stoked at the detail
3rd go at v carve the drawing is 400 x400 mm
took nearly 4 hrs with a 60 deg bit , the v carve never skipped a beat
going to air brush all the detail to make it pop
Well that just upped my learning curve!
and im just wondering what other cool crazy things can i V carve , might try a 30 deg bit next time ![]()
the one thing id like to get closer is simulation time, the one above said 2 hrs to do, it took 4hrs ?
i even clicked read from controller but doesnāt seem to change any numbers
ok will give that a go
If you click āRead from Controllerā (and have a GRBL controller connected) it should pull the values directly from the machine and make them as accurate as possible.
My projects were estimating 20%-30% less than actual (reported at the bottom). I was underestimating ālaser timeā in my billing calculations. Once I found those settings, my estimates (Preview) and total run times are within a few seconds. Call it the Sculpfun SF-A9 S/Nxxxxx Correction Factor.
I did try that but didnt see anything change , i have a v1 enginnering board running fluid nc grbl
WOW thatās sooo cool , Iāve been dabbling a bit as well, and it was working great till, and maybe itās me? but from surface --perfect !
but from a start of 3mm down , (inside an already pocketed area) the 2 donāt marry in depth!! way out , check out my query, post. have you tried a start of ??? down from surface?
great job is that chrome spray ā¦looks so real
pat
no its a 2k wood sealer , sprayed it 1st before airbrushing detail , that way i can wipe off excess as i go as i reckon sanding would take off some of the detail
