Variable Text: Setting to ignore empty lines during align

Could there be a setting to ignore empty lines during align.
I’d like the blue “Hello World” to be at the same height as the black one (line 1)
I would just use the blue definition to display both: single line and multi line.

Align X & Y are set to Middle.

example csv:

Hello World,
Hello,World
111 222,
111,222

variable definition:

line 0 & 1:

line 2 & 3:

I don’t know of an ‘ignore’ function but I did build a really ugly work-around.

I built a spreadsheet with 5 columns for testing this idea - the thought was to force the one or two lines of text into the desired space and control the location.

The test file looks like this:

It behaves as predicted…

So, I didn’t see a rule that said the text boxes couldn’t be empty or overlap. So I overlapped all five text boxes by 50%. I’m just using the rectangles as a sight-guide.
2022-09-16_17-28-47 text box half overlap
Then I simply didn’t use text that would have arrived in the wrong spot.
First Row:
2022-09-16_17-14-56 overlapped variable text first

Second Row:
2022-09-16_17-14-56 overlapped variable text second

Third Row:
2022-09-16_17-14-56 overlapped variable text third

Fourth Row:
2022-09-16_17-14-56 overlapped variable text fourth

Fifth Row:
2022-09-16_17-14-56 overlapped variable text fifth

Sixth Row:
2022-09-16_17-14-56 overlapped variable text sixth

This should be possible with three columns and it would give you adequate control of how and where the text would land. I hope this helps.

Thank you.
2nd and 3rd is the behavior I want.
So this workaround works, but it not as easy as 1 textfield, you need 3.
I guess you have to change the distances when you change textsize.
This is done without linking/aligning to the rectangular boxes?

I didn’t link it to the boxes, but i could attempt it.
I’ll explore it a little further.
