Laptop crashed so reinstalled OS and also installed fresh copy of Lightburn ver 2. Laser is installed on my CNC. When using my CNC all movement left/right front/back is correct, home is bottom left for both laser and CNC. Why when I load Lightburn and before I home it, the left/right movement arrows work correctly, but after I home it to bottom left and hit the right arrow movement button it moves diagonally to the right and rear?
Do I have to deactivate the licenses to revert back to another version?
Nothing changed on any wiring of stepper motors or any controller settings, just fresh OS and Lightburn install.
No, just reinstall the previously working version. No need to do anything else to do the rollback.
Thanks, no ideas on what’s going on with the move button?
Diagonal move with the right arrow has me scratching my head.
You familiar with the GCode commands?
not completely, not well versed in the GCode language.
What’s crazy also when connecting to cnc controller and open builds control software every movement works fine. It’s just Lightburn for some reason.
This suggests you need an .lbdev file for the Blackbox, or it is corrupted if you have one. Maybe @JohnJohn might have a lead on your controller.
not sure, more testing in order, thanks for all your help
reinstalled ver 1.7.08 and all movement arrows work as expected. ???
Thank you for reporting this.
Jogging has been a bit of a moving target for us. There have been several changes to jogging.
Do you recall which ‘Fresh version’?
This shouldn’t be happening. I’m going to test what LightBurn Emits and see if I can see anything. It should show up in the Console window with ‘Show all’ selected, but I’ll look at the output to see if I can see a difference in jog commands between the two versions.
Sorry don’t recall what version of 2 it was. It only happened after homing. If i just started the software and moved X axis to the right it was OK. after homing it went diagonal.
Please keep me posted if there is a patch, Thanks
