I have read about the 2.0.02 causing trouble and people have gone back to the 1.7.08 versions. Is the 2.0.02 safe to download now or should I stay with 1.7.08 version.

Is it safe? Install it and test it with your machine, if there is something you don’t like, go back. There have been and always will be some bugs, some you notice and may have an impact on your way of using LB, but most of the time it is only a few users who are affected by it and typically they are fixed over time.
LightBurn 2.0 comes with a large swath of updates, and we’ve already released patch fixes 2.0.01 and 2.0.02 to address some bugs.
You can upgrade and downgrade between LightBurn versions easily from the version archive at any time.
All previous versions of LightBurn are available in our version archive, here: Index of /LightBurn/Release/
We recommend saving a User Bundle as a backup before any major update.
