Very jerky circles issue

Hi all,

I am new in the laser engraving/cutting field.
Today, I got the Atomstack A5 from a friend and now I am trying to get it up and running.
After installing Lightburn and connecting the laser, I seem to have trouble getting to work properly.

This is the output from the added test .svg. file
LaserGRBL-accuracy-test-file

Why are my circles looking like this?

I was also able to connect and print via LaserGRBL.
With that program, the circles are actual circles, kinda ruling out a belt tension, power supply etc error.

What could be wrong?

Many thanks!
Tim

That is what the output looks like when using a cracked/pirated version of Lightburn. Download a legitimate copy here.

Really?

Haha, I’ll make sure to thank him for the USB stick with the software then

The legitimate version has a 30 day free trial so you can see if it works for what you want to do. In my opinion it is the best laser software and the price is reasonable.

It does!

The trial works as it is supposed to. I see a very slight deviation on a straight line on the X-axis, but I guess that is due to some vibrations on the backplates of the laser cradle.

Thank you very much! Amazingly quick response

That’s almost always a mechanical issue. Loose belt, etc.
