Hi all,
Further to our previous chat about the virtual array feature and it’s ‘bounding box’ behaviour (apologies, I missed the original thread closing by a day!)
I’ve discovered another area where this creates some strange behaviour. A picture is worth a thousand words so…
The object rotates as expected, but the overall array doesn’t. Now, I fully understand that it’s doing exactly what the array is supposed to - there’s the original part (in it’s new location), now please create 20 x-axis copies in a positive direction.
I would expect, in this case, that the array object would rotate not the original part. It may be that this gets resolved by @adammhaile as part of other updates to this feature, but it surprised me so I thought I should point it out.
(yes, I know I can flatten the array before rotating, etc etc.)
Thanks!
