Hi everyone, this problem seems to be happening with many people.
I’m still in the free trial phase, so I’m quite new to everything. However, I wasn’t having any issues, everything was working fine until 3 days ago…laser says ready, console says waiting for connection, if I click on start it says machine may be busy or paused.
I’ve disconnected every cable on machine and reconnected them, I’ve also uninstall and reinstalled LightBurn, it’s never picked up my machine, so have to manually select. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the machine software. I’ve even done a system recovery on laptop to the day before everything was working.
I’ve read through many articles on the subject on here and tried the one I knew what people were talking about. Technology and me = oxymoron, so some things were way above my pay grade!.
Oh and I’ve ordered a new cable (arrived tomorrow). Any other suggestions will be very welcome!!.
Poppy, you don’t mention your computer, but it might be a recent Windows update that got you. Check the COM port under the laser section and see if here are more than one com port showing, try changing to it and then back. Also try another com port on your PC/Laptop, some ports provide more power than others. At this point is just as much magic as anything, you just keep eliminating the likey until you discover the issue. I’ve had MS Windows updates hose up com port frequently for some reason. You might also reload the COM port driver.
I hadn’t tried that, but I have now and the console came up with waiting to connect every time I right clicked
Yeah, I’ve tried every port. Uninstalled and reinstalled the cnc software, as well as rolled back the laptop to the day before I knew everything was working. I’ve ordered another cable, should arrive today.
