Wecreat Lumos Busy? And not Finding My Laser

Connecting Wecreat lumos to Lightburn it reads busy an pressing stop doesn’t do anything. I used the config downloaded form the Wecreat site as Lightburn Find My Laser under devices doesn’t seem to find it. Odd thing is when I then close that Lightburn window and go to wecreat makeit that it says its connected to Lightburn. Granted I was using another laser (Acmer P3 48W) at the same time but different ports and windows. But after exiting Lightburn on the other laser and restarting the lumos it connected to it.

Is this saying it is working?

To have 2 lasers connected at the same time:

  1. You must have 2 USB ports on the PC. A hub will not work.
  2. You must use 2 instances of Lightburn. In Lightburn, click on File → New Window.
  3. I have noticed the 2 instances do not share the same Recent Projects list.

I works with Wereact Makeit software after restart. Still can’t get it to work with LB.

Try doing a Manual Device install? It is really simple. It is
Also possible Wecreat came with a .lbdev file. If so, use that first.

I think the Lumos is a relatively new model.

That is what i have done. It was only after that theblumos reading busy even after pressing stop that I tried to have LB find my device.

Unplug USB. Open Lightburn, open Console window and turn the Show All switch.

Plug in the USB cable with laser powered on. Copy from the Console window and paste in a reply.

Then just reading busy without firing I had tried to do a salt coaster material test

Ok, the laser and PC are definately talking. It apears to be an issue with the Lumos and PC not understanding eachother. That is an issue with the Lumos expecting commands Lightburn is not aware of for that specific laser. Usually the manufacturer supplies an .lbdev file to tell Lightburn what it needs to know.

I think you will need to contact WeCreat support. Hopefully somebody with your particular machine will jump in and provide what you need. I searched the Forum, but did not have much luck with the Lumos. I also did a Google and only found a Facebook posting saying the USB cable was bad, but no mention of software appeared.
