Weird camera behavior with Lightburn

Hi,

I am having a hard time trying to calibrate correctly my 5Mp 160° view usb camera with lightburn. When trying to take picture for camera distortion calibration, the picture is most of the time black, even if lightburn says it find the pattern, and sometimes it is like fish eye, as if lightburn wasn’t processing the image correctly.

I checked with both mac os and linux and I have the same behavior.

The camera module is based on OV5640 sensor.

I checked the raw image of the camera and it is ok, the image is clear and not so much distorted.

What can I do to calibrate correctly my camera ?

Regards,

The dot pattern is too small in the image, and I can’t tell for certain, but it looks like it could also be curled slightly. If that is the case, it will not work well - it has to be absolutely flat. You should also completely ignore the image on the right until you have more than one capture (usually around the 3rd one it starts to look right).

Read this - same problem, just 3 days ago, so the advice is the same: Camera calibration query please
