Trying to understand the software rules for welding text and shapes together. When I try, text disappears. No different layer color for font and font is selected for view and output.
No offset, nothing fancy, just trying to put name inside ornament. I’de put the file here but it says no uploads.
On further testing discovered that I can’t weld text inside of shapes. If I create a donut I can’t weld text in the donut hole. Can weld to outside of donut. What am I missing?
You might benefit from reviewing this video which explains the different Boolean tools, when and how to use them to achieve what you want.
Yes, that was what I needed. Searched youtube for welding. Didn’t know to use Booleans.
