Correct. I came with two short adapter cables, one labeled “normal” and the other “OLMP2/S2”. The out cable goes directly to the laser. The S1 OEM cable has the 3-pin 2.54 JST type connector that plugged into the 5.5W laser module. That was supposed to go onto the corresponding input on the V1.0 board. Ortur is now sending out their 10W lasers with a V2.0 universal adapter, which isn’t. The “IN” connector has a 2 row 4 pin at one end, and as you can see, a 3 pin JST on the other, and it’s the same “sex” as the one that’s intended to go there. I bought some 3 pin JST connectors…
…and the plan is to make a sex change cable. I took the cover off the OUC but it’s a multi-layer board with very small connectors, so I couldn’t tell much. I feel that if I can, with a fair degree of certainty, identify ground and +24V, then the only one left, on the 3 pin connector, should be PWM. If I keep the plugs in the same orientation, I should be ok. My concern is that there is some digital circuitry on the board, so I’m not sure if I’ll get any continuity between IN and OUT. And since they are now using a round 5 pin connector on the laser module, and everything is enclosed, I don’t know how the internals are wired.
