What are the 'Z' offset uses

I have been watching Sir Russ’ latest videos on lenses with much interest, I noticed he now uses 8 lines [0-8] and his bed drops a mm or so between each line. I think I know how I would do that in RDw [pen up/down] … in LBurn- is that what the ‘Z offset’ for? I am not sure when he started using this for focus calibration but I like it. Gene

LightBurn will do this for you with Tools > Focus Test, but yes. The Z-Offset can be used for that, or pushing the focus point into the material a little on multi-pass cuts, or de-focusing to make thicker lines (or creases) like this: [HELP] - creasing for a box

Way ahead of me as usual. Thanks Gene
