Nice housing!
IMO once the 5mm sheet is formed, it should easily be self-supporting. You could have spare yourself the strechers that will partially block the view…?
I’m sure your right about the strechers, but being nervously confident I thought I’d hedge my bet…I can always remove them.
Tried a sample heat bend with the polycarbonate today as well as test drilling for screws on an offcut and all went very well…Sticky foil tape to keep the heat focused around the bending area. Hopefully I’ll get the 600mm (side to side) front & back bends done tomorrow and the cutout for 200x100 P1P21 top viewing window…Very not sure about thermal bend on that screen, but may keep it flat and shape a frame for it.
Delighted to have loads of polycarb left over to attempt the frame 490mmx100mmx30mm for removable front view screen & at the feedthrough slots.
