What is the best way to position alignment targets?

When using the Print and Cut function, is there a recommended way to position the two alignment targets to get the best registration?

For example I assume that the further apart the two target are, the better, but does it matter if they are both on the same Y position line (one on the left and one on the right edges of the material) or does having the targets offset on the Y axis help. Or does it not matter at all how the targets are positioned.

Having them both on the same Y axis makes setting the laser easier since I can just position on the first one then just jog the laser head straight across the material and set the correct X position for the second target.

Offsetting shouldn’t be necessary - It’s getting orientation, position, and scale from the two markers, so farther apart is better, and diagonal gives you a bit more distance, which is why I usually suggest that.

Placing them horizontally you’d still need to adjust the Y a little for the 2nd one, assuming they weren’t exact, but it would be minimal.
