I have been using LightBurn for a year and a half (renewed the license once already) and just now when I opened version 9.14 it behaved as if it was the first time LightBurn had ever run on my computer. It wanted to be setup from scratch. Have I lost all my settings, my Art library, my material library? Why did this happen?
If I knew that, it wouldn’t have happened - I’ve been trying to figure out how this is even possible - the software shouldn’t be able to nuke these, but it somehow happens on rare occasions.
Run the software, go to File > Open prefs folder, and look in the folder called ‘Backup’. Quit LightBurn (this part is important).
The most recent file by date that has the largest size should be the last correct prefs you had. Copy that file out into the prefs folder and rename it to prefs.ini. When you re-run, it should use that backup copy.
Thank You, that restored it to what I was using. But when I opened the last file I was working on it has parts of it that are corrupted. It may all be connected.
