Which files do I save?

Been having some issues with LB, latest version and in order to troubleshoot the exact issue, I need to wipe the existence of the latest version. However I don’t want to lose the settings I accumulated over the past 7 years, such as the little color settings at the bottom for various materials. I know where they are located, in AppData, but I don’t know what their extensions are. I am also looking to remove the lightburn folder out of AppData, and do a clean install to find out if somehow LB got corrupted from all the upgrading and possible cross contamination from the Beta install.

Nope, unlikely this will solve your issue. Lightburn is not like Windows. You can install any version over any other version without uninstalling anything. Unless it was a bad unload and install of an upgrade, reinstalling Lightburn rarely solves any issues.

Before you shoot the horse, let us see if we can diagnose the problem. Tell us what issues you are having due to the upgrade.

Topic of the issue is here, Partial upload to Ruida
I need to revert to an older known working version.

Why did you start a new Topic? You can add to the original and keep all the details in one place. I suggest you jusr let this Topic die out.

Because this is irrelevant to the issue in the other thread. I want to find the particular files for the presets I have accumulated over the past 7 years so I can save them, just need to know the extensions of said files. If I can’t get this laptop to communicate with the laser while the other laptop does without issue, then I want the presets on that laptop instead. I still want to wipe out this laptops old accumulated data and start fresh.

Unless that version of LightBurn predates 1.7, you can simply Export all the settings / preferences, then Import them into the new version:

The doc is similar for 1.7:

Thats what I was looking for. I found the pre-release was partially installed still and removed it as well, so giving it a go to see if this is finally resolved or there is a driver, or hardware issue instead.
