White jell sent with xtool

what is that tube of white cream sent with xtool laser printer used for?

Sounds like white grease, some kind of lubricant…

Is there something on your machine that needs to be lubricated?

:smile_cat:

no it’s an xtool 10w laser printer that runs on rubber tracks and metal wheels.

Hi.

Rubber tracks, really?
Got a pic?

Mine -and all the xTool “large footprint” diode lasers I’ve seen pictures of- runs on metal tracks, and the grease on that supplied tube is for lubricating those metal tracks.
To be used sparingly as instructed on the manual.

I will probably try teflon based dry lubricant on mine at some point, even though mostly organic laser cutting byproduct particles won’t produce as abrasive compound with grease as metallic particles would.

Sam
