Why is LB filling my letters?

Why is LB filling the closed loops in my letters? (P, R, A, …) They are not filled in CorelDraw or in Illustrator and Lightburn shows no open loops? I am relatively new to LB so this may be a dumb question.

You probably have some duplicated items. Upload your .lbrn2 file for inspection and we can find / show you the problem.

Tim is likely correct. You can view your preview window before sending a job to make sure the outcome is as you expect.

Here’s an example of what you are probably seeing in LightBurn. Your view style is set to wireframe so the duplicated shape is not visible:

If you change the view style to filled, the duplicated shape (inside the letter a)
is shown:

Get rid of duplicated shapes by going to Edit>Delete Duplicates

Thank you Tim and JessN! I set to fill and see my entire background is filled so that is the problem. I created in CorelDraw and saved as an Ai file. The black background must have happened during the conversion. I really appreciate the info, I was stumped.
