Hi, in my drawing save icon I saw what I planned earlier, but when I open LightBurn 1.4.04, I do not see my previously designed drawing. When I saved this new artifact, if I still look at the file sizes, the size of the one with the previously designed drawing on the icon is larger than the size I opened with the save. Does anyone know the solution to my problem, how can I see my plan again in LightBurn?
These files seem pretty big. Do the files have the same name and suffix?
If OneDrive is in the file path these may not have been saved correctly.
Damage to files has also been seen in Removable Storage, Cloud Storage and Shared Folders on Dropbox.
Right-Click the file and select Properties.
Screen capture the file path.
Please let me know what you find.
Thanks!
The file path seems fine, that’s good news.
lbrn2 files are compressed to accelerate load/save operations.
Is data missing in the file itself?
or
Is the image in the Thumbnail (icon) not updating with the change in the drawing?
or both?
Is data missing in the file itself? I don’t know what you mean, unfortunately. I open the file whose icon has the plans in the upper left corner, and then the plans are no longer there, and if I save this, it is no longer on the small icon, and the file saved this way has a smaller size.
In LightBurn, click File then Export Prefs and save this file to the desktop or something else convenient.
Please upload this file here for review.

Hi there are any developments regarding the file?
I dug into the prefs file and have a couple of clues. I needed some clarification about the Thumnail/Icon behavior from the Dev team. We need more information to address your concern.
In my mind, the plans shown in the upper-left corner of the Thumbnail / Icon have moved or are not available in the Larger file.
If the plans have moved from the upper left, toward the middle of the file, the size of the file could be smaller. I don’t think 20% smaller is reasonable but I’d like to find out.
I do not know if this part of the file is missing or damaged and did not regenerate or if the Icon failed to update when the file was saved last.
The Thumbnail / Icon is generated by LightBurn when the file is saved. If the file was saved from a computer to a removable drive, the plans in the corner may have been removed or lost at that point without updating the Icon.
I would need to pass the Huge files to the dev team for analysis.
If you have a Google Drive or a cloud service, and if you’re willing to share them for analysis, I can get them to the dev team. I will send a private message here so you can send links to me for further analysis of your files if you like.
We will gladly keep your files confidential.
Do you still have the original file on the F: drive? If so, please copy that file to somewhere local and convenient, then upload your local files to Google Drive or any other preferred file-sharing service.
I tried to send it privately, but I get a reply that the address can’t be found or can’t receive mail.
No, unfortunately I still get the message that the address cannot be found or cannot receive mail
We are reviewing this now.
Are dioráma.lbrn2 and 1.lbrn2 saved in the same folder?
Please show a screen capture showing the folder Icon where the files are stored. If they are stored separately, I would appreciate an image of both folders. The folder Icon will have a marking applied to it if cloud storage is involved.
(I don’t think cloud storage is involved - but it is important to confirm this.)
Thanks again.
