Why no K40 w/ Lightburn

Interesting.

So I feel like it’s on the verge of working.

Can you try entering these commands:

$X
G0 X10

Are you using the trial version of LightBurn? If so, you may want to try configuring a Ruida device to see if that works any better.

I’m using lightburn with gcode grbl version
In cmd I typed $X after I pressed entre I got error 3
I can’t send G0 X10 because everything time I go back to the line I get error 3
In lightburn console a message in red shows Grbl $ system command was not recognised or supported

Can you take a screenshot or copy/paste the exact content please?

Sure mate, thanks

The last command issued in the Telnet session should have moved the laser if it were going to work.

It’s not clear to me why it’s not working but as I indicated earlier, there have been a lot of recent changes to the GRBL code.

You may want to ask on the Meerk40t github site why it might not be working.

You clearly have communication with the Meerk40t GRBL server. But somehow the commands are not getting translated to motion on the K40.

Ok mate, thank you for taking time trying to help me, much appreciated. I will try to get in touch with meerk40t GitHub community hopefully they can help me. Cheers

Let us know how you carry on. I don’t think there are many others here using the grblcontrol. Some that have used ruidacontrol.
