Mr. Carve is a new fiber laser marker recently funded on Kickstarter. I’ve got one and would like to know if the latest version of LB will control it. Thanks!
At this time, LightBurn does not control any galvo based laser - though you may have seen our announcement that we are actively working on that functionality.
However, the M1 documentation shows that it runs a BSL controller board and uses SeaCad for the control software. This is a bit less common than the BJJCZ / EZCad combo used by many galvo-based lasers on the market, so we are not currently targeting support for BSL boards at this time. But it is on our wishlist, so it’s likely a matter of time.
One thing that you could do that would help, is contact the manufacturer of our device and ask them to help us support their machine. If we get enough people pestering a company about LightBurn support it usually makes them be more willing to work with us. Be nice and don’t demand, of course. Just a simple “Hey, it would be great if you could work with LightBurn to support this”.
