Win 11 HAS MESSED UP LIGHTBURN

Hi all,

can anyone tell me what dependancies Lightburn needs in Win 11?

Lightburn refuses to start on my house computer, I think it’s due to an update recently from Microsoft…may have taken C++ or something similar away. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling an earlier version of Lightburn but to no avail.

What version of LightBurn are you using ? A recent Windows update changed some Windows Runtime components. You may need to restore the components in order to open LightBurn. Please install the two files below and then try again. https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe If you still have any issues, please let us know.

Hi Ed,
Had a vague idea it was something like that but couldn’t remember which files it needed. They are now permanently on my desktop in a recovery file.

Ideally, you will never need them again, but we all know better than that!
