I am new to all of this and recently purchased Lightburn. I have a 90 Watt laser… What is a good starting place for my settings to put a photo onto wood?
Welcome Amy. Check out the Finished Creations Grey scale with Maple white wash wood. There are quite a few folks that do this. Good Luck!

Settings for photo engraving or engraving in general are dependent on so many variables:
Type of material to be engraved
Type of lens
Focusing of lens
Speed
Power
Air assist
File preparation
My suggestion is to test your laser machines ability by “engraving/cutting material so that you can visually see what you like in a similar fashion to this article
