I like the Lightburn software and it works great with my laser and rotary chuck. However is there a way for the workspace be able to be sized based on the diameter of the object being etched? For example I am etching a object that is 4.5 inches in diameter (circumference 14.14 in) and I have the rotary postioned so it is the y-axis. I am engraving two items that I want 180 degrees from each other.
You can change the workspace in device settings. It’s just a few clicks. Though, I think that’s not necessary, just draw a rectangle in the desired size and put it on a tool layer. Those are usually used to have guidelines like object sizes to position your project in.
You can set up the workspace to be equal to the circumference in the desired axis as a duplicate device profile, if you wish. Or you could just place a Tool Layer down with the circumference, rather than make lots of profiles.
