Alignment issues
I need some help; either I have no idea what I’m doing, or some settings need adjustments. I have a Sculpfun S30 ultra 22 W. I’m having an issue when I select positioning in the move dialog box, set the position X&Y to 200 mm, and click on the go. The laser head does not wind up at 200 x 200. The Y is around 200, whereas the X is around 245 to 250.
What do you get when you burn a 200mm square in line mode?
Have you made any changes to the GRBL parameters, that you know about?
I haven’t that I am aware of.
Just to be sure I will try it and post my results.
Thank you
My results were 200x200
With this info we can assume that your steps are correct. When you got the results in your first post what position did the move window report your lasr at? Is it possible that it wasn’t homed properly before the move? Can you repeat the anomaly or was it a one time thing?
Unfortunately it’s not an anomaly, to sum it up if I draw a square, the size of the square is correct onece cut, however the location on of my square in the Lightburn grid, (x & y) are not the same as my lasor when I place the material in the same axis area of the bed.
If you hatmakes sense.
What Start From coordinate system in the Laser window are you using?
Using absolute coordinates start from, draw a rectangle the size of your work area and a 200x200 square in one corner of your work area and burn it. Do this on cardboard so you’re not wasting material. Does it burn in the correct location? Post pics if not, along with a screenshot of your entire Lightburn screen.
