I am having issues with cuts. Higher power (90 - 100) if cuts thru but chars the wood.
I have an Air Assist also. My question is around the square guard around the laser. By having the guard removed, does that affect the air assist on the laser or does it matter? Thoughts?
It’s not likely to make a measurable impact on the cutting.
If you’re looking for additional feedback upload a photo of the results you’re getting with a description of what you’re trying to cut along with settings. Someone has likely already experienced what you’re going through.
Remove the guard. It is terribly designed and causes damage to focus lens. Well documented. It causes negwtive pressure snd loops the smoke TOWARDS the focus lense instead of away.
