I see that “XTool Network Protocol Support” has been added in LightBurn-v2.2.00-RC-2, how do I connect to my XTool -S1,
I Get an error “xTool: cannot determine protocol generation at IP192.168.------ (no V1 service on :8080, nothing listening on :28900); retrying in 1s (attempt 1)”
xTool Studio is conncting on port Src Port: 20000, Dst Port: 20000
Adding my voice here — xTool F2 Ultra owner (60W MOPA). Would love to see the F2 Ultra added to the network-protocol device list. It speaks the same V2 protocol family as the F1, so hoping it’s a straightforward add. Happy to beta test if you need F2 Ultra testers. Thanks!
Thanks for chiming in, and welcome to the forum, @Td3d
I’ve only heard the devs talk about the F1 so far, but I see the F2 is on the list in the Device Settings, under “Device Classification”.
That’s just the list of detectable machines. It should reset on each new connection.
If you connect to a machine and that changes to the right model, that is an excellent first step.
It definitely won’t work right now because I haven’t filled out the metadata table for the F2. If the F2 Ultra and F1 speak the same V2 protocol family as the F1, that would would be really lovely!
We can turn it on and treat the F2 like the F1, might as well, we’ll see what happens I suppose.
Can you send us the F2 Ultra’s reply when entereing this command in the console?
Happy to help — I’ll run M99 and send you the output. One snag: my trial just expired and I’ve hit the extension limit, so I can’t launch LightBurn at all right now. Any chance you can hook me up with a trial extension or a test key so I can get you that M99 reply?
We don’t have access to an F2 Ultra to test it with the new xTool protocol, so your offer is very welcome.
Please send us your Trial ID in an email to support@lightburnsoftware.com (mention this forum thread.)
I’ll extend it for you and will have further instructions on what could be tested on your F2 Ultra.
