Xtool pro D1 RA2 lines in fill

I just recently started doing tumblers with my RA2 with 10 watt. No matter what I do I can not get these lines out of letters. I’ve tired powers and speeds/ making sure the cups where weighted down. Also 1 and 2 passes. Does anyone have an insight on what it is. They are just black basic yedi cups

This was:

100% Power
33 mm/s
0.080 interval

I see two things.

Because of the line furthest to the left on the first H, I’m assuming that the back and forth engraving is up and down on the picture and the rotary rolls the Image either Left to Right or Right to Left. Either / or - it doesn’t matter which way.

The interval spacing seems low. When this happens, there’s too much space, or not enough overlap in between the lines. From the first H, just above the interrupted line - the spacing is very clear.

Take a damaged or test-cup you can sacrifice and click Laser Tools and then click Interval test.

You should test a grid of Interval settings in order to find a better one for Yeti cups. It appears that a 10% smaller interval might be close.

The other thing I believe I’m seeing is scanning offset. It’s easiest to see when the interval leaves lines, so that’s a lucky break.

Right next to the first picture we see this.

That uneven edge that looks like alternating lines are longer and shorter looks like Scanning Offset. In the documentation link (above) typical scanning is left-right but the picture you’re showing scans Up-Down - It’s probably the x-axis in both cases.

If you open the Layer where you’re filling the Letters and turn off ‘Bi-directional fill’ and the uneven line goes away - you’ll confirm that this is most likely what you need to adjust. I don’t recommend turning this off aside from demonstrating an unanticipated behavior. it will Double your engrave time. It’s best to spend some time to get this setting correct.

Thank you so much for all this info. I will get the test done and see what comes out and report back.
