xToolF1 connection on MacBookPro

I have just purchased an xToolF1 as it can be controlled by Lightburn. I have loaded and run the F1 with the xTool Creative Space software, I cannot connect via WiFi (not really savvy with a lot of WiFi). I have run a GRBL home made (sort of) A4 sized laser gantry with a diode laser. This works fine but the xToolF1 will be for small personalized engraving. I have a Mac BookPro with Monterey 12.7.2 and the laser window drop down list doesn’t show a USB choice. I have used Lightburn to control the other laser. I am self taught using lasers after partially building my current rig. I have seen that this could be a driver problem but have got lost along the way. Can anyone help?

The biggest problems I had with mine was to find a USB cable that worked
(Especially if you are using usbC to usbC)

rotation of the cable seems to matter for some strange reason
also power on F1 first, THEN connect cable seem to help
YOu will be prompted once at least if you want to accept and permit the usb external device connection

From that point on it should be seen

You can also use this command in terminal to see what is being seen by OS
ioreg -p IOUSB
