Hi there
Im pretty sure this question has come up before but I cant seem to find the answer in the chats.
I have a Creality Falcon 10w diode laser and it seems to cut perfectly through my workpiece on the Y axis, yet only cuts about 80% through on the X axis.
Constant power settings are enabled and seems like a consistent issue on any part I cut.
Could someone please shed a bit of light on this issue for me?
Hi there
Thanks for the visual explanation.
This does make sense, but is there a way to get around this and cut through cleanly like on the Y Axis?
Perhaps the laser focal distance?
No, unfortunately not, as far as I know. It has always surprised me that the orientation of the laser beam is so straight with X and Y, but it must be something design-related. If it was set to 45 degrees there would be some kind of compensation, but it is not optimal either.
However, I believe that the new multidiode laser heads are much better designed with a more round beam.
