Hi I just need to slow down my y axis speed when framing as it goes to fast and grinds if it moves mostly straight forward, can I just change the max speed in machine settings? or maybe max acceleration?
Set it in the Move window, where it says Speed.
Hey thanks for the reply, that’s not not what I was after, I can change the frame speed ok, I just need to slow the speed of the machine down when it moves across the work area before it frames,it goes too fast and grinds
Try adjusting ‘Fast Whitespace Scan’ in the Device settings, that may help.
I do not have that option with the ruida, thanks for the reply though
I don’t know what exactly grind means… these make pretty definite noises when certain things are not setup correctly
If your acceleration is too high, the sound is more like clunking or thumping as the fields are moving faster than the mechanics can respond.
Grinding, I would think would be more like a mechanical issue, with motor and/or X axes bearing or ?
I wouldn’t think it would be internal settings from Gweike, they have lots of machines, so I would look elsewhere for mechanical issues.
All the things adjustable within the Ruida controller can be accessed/modified Edit → Machine Settings.
Before you change an item, take the time to save the original setting with the Save button… Make two copies, with one on something like a google drive… these can be used to restore the machine settings when you hose them up…
thanks for the reply Jack, I’ve been trying to eliminate everything else first , bearings are next
