are the developers ever going to add z support for cnc routers? there are tons of people who would use it for their cnc routers. it seems like it would be an easy thing to add.
Okay, so don’t immediately ask when it’ll be released, as it’s the “Are we there yet?” of the forums, but…
MillMage is coming… soon?.. from the LightBurn devs. It’s the full CNC sibling/cousin of LightBurn that they’ve been working on for some time now.
There are a few threads in the forums about it, and no, you can’t join the beta test cohort, as that’s been full up for a while. Still, keep your eyes open and ears to the ground, and hopefully we’ll get to start having fun soon enough.
(I’m not in the testing cadre, myself, but I’m right at the front of the metaphorical line wanting to get my hands on it and get my CNC router back up to steam.)

Z Support has to include features like ramp and plunge that laser engraving never needed. It’s taken a ton of work to refactor. I get a sense that it’s Soon..
I can safely say it’s in testing. Most of the staff here have at least one CNC Router.. Some have 3 or 4.
As always.. I can’t say when.
