Just some meathead with a laser. I bought a ortur LM2 first. Just something to monkey around with down in the garage. Quickly realized I do not like watching paint dry. So after cutting teeth for 4 months I decided to just up to the junior high models. I was not sure what I wanted but knew it had to be a c02… A k40 style was on my radar. Then I though hey go bigger run bigger stuffs and finally decided on a OMT 60w to get going in the C02 realm. Not going to throw the shipping company under the bus but it arrived in less than stellar conditions. I had two choices ask for a refund or a replacement unit. Clearly a new unit would be ideal except at the time OMT did not have an exact matching model in the states. It would have taken months to receive a new machine. So I asked for a refund… after haggling, complaining, threatening and A LOT of cussing. They thought it best to give a partial refund. So with the pocket full of cash I upgraded the laser before it even turned on. Went with a Cloudray 90w tube, mounts,power supply, remote amp gauge and set of various focus lenses. Installing the parts not too bad. Just a bit touch and go switching from a 65mm to an 80mm tube. Not a single mirror lined up without making new brackets. Still have some issues with the head moving but a new mount in being made. As for what I make with it? A lot of scrap wood lol
