CNC experience:
-I’ve been tinkering with CNC/automation/machining for ~ 20 years in my
home shop, and have also have limited machine design experience on a
professional level.

-I built my first cnc mill/router from scratch in 2005 using steppers with
gecko drives

-I’ve built two full servos systems for use with mach 3, using Galil
controllers and yaskawa servos:

1. 4 axis (cnc mill with servo spindle)
2. 5 axis (cnc lathe w/ servo spindle, tool changer, and cutoff slide).
   The mill was built as cnc with steppers, and I just updated the controls
   The lathe was an old hardinge conversion - X and Y axis, as well as tool changer were built from scratch

-I’ve built a custom 1 axis back gauge with an HMI and incorporated it into
an existing press at work. This machine had some addtional pneumatics incorporated as well

-4 years experience designing tooling for electronics manufacturer.

20 years experience of building random stuff, making mistakes, and learning from them.
