I am a retired process engineer in my 70’s. Woodworking is my hobby and typically I make boxes, pens, segmented bowls, xmas ornaments, etc… A few months back I bought a CNC router, which I often use to help a woodworking buddy with inlays for the guitars that he makes as a hobby. I also used it make xmas gifts in acrylic for the grandkids. Then around xmas I decided to add a laser to my toolkit. So far I have spent most of my recent time modifying my shop to accommodate both such that I can easily connect either to my laptop. Thus when it comes to lasers I am def a newbie with much to learn. I have “played” with the laser to test it, and make some simple burns.
