I found my passion with laser engraving getting a random job from a friend in 2012. I learned on an epilog mini 18×12 using CorwlDraw 5 at the time. I engraved everything from shark skin, lots of guns (AR lowers), award knives for the local PD, champagne bottles, IR flags to identify our spec ops to lifters on motorcycles and vaporizers. I bought a k40 and went with the LO “upgrade” because it sounded so simple if u have the skills or know how to do the lightest of electrical/technical work. I then learned that Murphy’s law was possible and watched as a lot of people saw my project as a “pipe dream” or something else in my life I would not complete. I’ve been on and off with it but I’ve made sure this won’t be a fail. It’s been rewired 3 times, painted and tweaked and looks like one u have never seen before but has produced nothing more than a few cuts because I know what good laser software is and LaserCad is overpriced at free. My hopes are high with Lightburn. Finally someone did what I have been waiting to happen and demed Chinese bs unacceptable and (from what I’ve seen and hope to see) made REAL laser software. I’m having issues but the support thus far has been impressive. This means a lot to me and I can’t thank you enough for helping us with talent get a chance to display it even with the worst laser ever made. Humbled and grateful.
