After nearly 2 decades with Bose, I was laid off and went full time on my small business doing CNC wood working. Our biggest customer required laser engraving on most of the products we make for them, so we jumped in on laser engraving with a 50 watt OMTech. I’ve been so busy with the business that I haven’t had the time to really dive in and immerse myself, though, so here I am, ready to learn more about the craft.

Despite having had the machine for 2 years, I’ve only just recently started using it to cut through material, since I use CNC machines to do most cutting work. I’ve engraved well over several thousand parts, though, so I’m not exactly “new” to this stuff.
