I was a software developer for over 40 years. I was an early adapter to Windows (95) and had a great career designing, deploying, and maintaining software and hardware across multiple industries and businesses. I try to stay current with Python, node.js, and other languages to develop embedded devices using RedBear Duo, Arduino, Raspberry PI, and custom hardware.
Early in my career, I worked for an industrial laundry equipment manufacturer and had a wonderful opportunity to learn how to weld (stick, mig & tig). operate brake presses, shears, lathes and milling equipment.
I was the first person to put an IBM Industrial PC into a laundry service in Akron, OH in the early '80s.
That experience, combined with my love of software development, led me to my more recent endeavors of CNC milling, laser engraving and cutting, and 3D printing. I am currently learning how to use a 100W JPT MOPA Fiber laser and Lightburn software with an EZCAD 2 board.
