3D geek since 1984, bought my first cnc mill in 1999 (or was it 1998 ?) a Roland Modela 10. Still have it, requires Win NT to run, thinking of using the gantry for a really small machine for soft materials when time is right. Was given an almost unused 3D systems Thermojet about 6 years ago and jumped on the 3D printing train building a nuw substantially modified PrintrBot Simple. fast forward. Today the Simple is collecting dust as a homebuilt PLA-spritser together with 3 resin printers, tkhe ones I use are a Kelandi KLD200 and Kelant D100 but I wnted to mill parts for them in aluminium so I built the Raw 1.5 predecessor of their current semipro “Avantic” CNC machine (http://rawcnc.com/). Next step was to get a solid state Laser Engraver/cutter head for the Raw 1.5 and now I’m about to try out this software and ended up here as it will NOT currently communicate with my GRBL 1.1 controller board.
