I really wish I didnt update because I’ve had nothing but issues with this update.
Right now my biggest problem is that the setting I always use, it wont engrave. At first I got the usual “not enough room”, I kept trying, now I even tried putting it into the center, no errors but it just will not engrave. I don’t know if I am being stupid/user error. Layer is set to Fill (and fill ALL shapes at once), never changed this.
As you see in the preview, it wont do it.
Another thing that has changed is when I am tracing an image, I can no longer just click “delete” in the numbers and it sets to 0, it just resets it back to what it was. REALLY annoying that is making all of my images take more time as I have to manually type in 0 instead of just hitting tab>backspace>tab>backspace>tab>backspace
I just tried creating a new image import, even changed the layer, now the new one shows but not the old. So somehow the trace got corrupted or something? Will try to re-trace and see what happens…
I think ideally Trace would have presets available so that often used settings could be reused easily.
I asked for the same thing a few days ago. I really wish it would, a way to set defaults. Cant believe Im the first to ask for this.
I got the engrave to work now after I deleted the traces and did them again. I didn’t do anything differently, put my settings in and clicked trace. Not sure why it didn’t work correctly but still showed on the screen. Never had that before
I didn’t realize the first set of images was from a trace. Thought that was separate item. Trace only creates closed path objects as far as I know so likely not an issue with that.
