Just updated to 1.3.01 on my Mac for CO2. Cannot break nodes. and cannot weld. I was able to weld for about 15 minutes but then the break and weld function stopped working. I tried a different, simple file. same problem. went back to an earlier version and “break” and weld work as expected. I guess I’m just reporting this issue.
Thank you. I just ran a few simple tests, running 1.3.01 on Mac, and am not seeing what you are describing. Things are working as expected for me here, but I understand that offers little to address what you describe.
Please post a video, and make sure it is public, showing the exact steps you take when you experience this. Any illustration that can help us “see” what you do would be helpful in our investigations.
Hi. I’m having the same issue. Lightburn 1.3.01. Stop “break” function on nodes editing mode.
Can you then provide something to assist us in “seeing” what you are experiencing?
I am having same issue since last update. Simply will not break. I cant even cut shapes now, that actually welds
And we are still anticipating someone will show us what the means, exactly. Are you willing Dan?
I’m having the same issue. It was fine yesterday but today, I can’t break a node in this file. I tried copying/pasting the svg to a new file, etc. No matter what the node looks like before I click on it, once I click, it appears to be a “leading” node. It then looks like it breaks but once I try to move the node away, it’s clear it’s not broken. I then clicked on another node (grey at the time of clicking) which then shows as a “leading” node. Looks like it breaks. It’s not broken.
anyone from Lightburn help?
Speaking only for myself, I cannot provide any assistance without poking into the file causing the problem. Your screenshots suggest there an overlaid vector, but there’s no way to tell from here.
The original poster(s) didn’t follow up with the requested details when @Rick asked: “we are still anticipating someone will show us what th[is] means”.
Providing the *.lbrn
file will help us help you and everybody else with “the same problem”.
Not yet. I still have the issue on every file, whether I’m importing it or I’ve designed it myself within LB. I have to add a couple of very close nodes around the area I want to break and then break them multiple times to get the tiny section between the two to open. Once that’s done, all the rest are great. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the ones added to break as well, though.
It’s on every file I have, whether my creation or one imported. There are no overlaid vectors; I’ve checked for that. It was after the update; one day good, next day not.
I am in the same position as previous.
I’m having the same issue on 1.3.01… Reverted back to 1.02.04 and breaking nodes works fine. Running windows 10… No other way to describe the issue but saying when I hover over a node in 1.3.01 and press the B key either once or twice, the node doesn’t break.
What happens instead?
I just tested this and didn’t have an issue breaking the shape at a node.
Can you try the following:
- Create rectangle
- Select rectangle and then Edit->Convert to path
- Edit Nodes
- Hover over one of the corner nodes and press B.
Does the shape break at the node?
If not, can you upload a .lbrn file where you’re experiencing this? Also please include a screenshot showing specifically which node you’re trying to break. I’ll try to reproduce.
I re-installed 1.3.01… I tested breaking nodes on a rectangle as requested which worked fine. I also tried breaking nodes on an object that was not working yesterday but now it works. Maybe simply uninstalling and reinstalling lightburn fixed the issue. I will up date this post if the problem returns.
