Firefox complains about the download. See pic. After allowing the download it won’t install due to something running that conflicts.
Actually got it. Third try worked. Odd though
Adam just pushed 1.5.02. I’ll check to see if he’s signed it.
Are you both on win 10 and 64 bit?
Gil, if you have your Windows 11 computer open, please test the update with the other device.
windows 10 64b here
But i can test on mac/win11 will report back in a sec
I’ve reported it to the dev who signed and pushed the build.
I’m hoping it’s not too late in the day to catch him.
Dmg downloads fine
EDIT - windows 11 also blocked
They do seem signed for sure
We have reproduced the behavior internally and the dev team is on it.
I’ll be curious if there’s a direct resolution to this.
My understanding was that “not commonly downloaded” warnings were based on a heuristic model using telemetry data from other Firefox users and not based on package content.
Edge on Win10 asked if I wanted to keep the file and then proceeded to download normally after saying yes.
Everything we can find points to the fact that we used a new certificate to sign the windows releases and that the only thing we can do is wait it out for Chrome and FF’s system to pick up on the new certificate being ok.
You can simply choose to keep the download and it will work fine. You will be able to check that the installer is properly signed (Right click on installer > Properties > Digital Signatures). There’s nothing wrong with it, just a false alarm from Google that we have absolutely zero control over.

I also encountered the same problem last night. So I decided to wait till today.
and I do believe the problem was as Adam pointed out.
“Everything we can find points to the fact that we used a new certificate to sign the windows releases and that the only thing we can do is wait it out for Chrome and FF’s system to pick up on the new certificate being ok.”
Downloaded today, and it worked like it normally does.
Thank You to all the LightBurn team. Your Awesome.
Excellent! I just noticed the same myself (I’ve been trying every couple of hours) and glad it’s not just me
