Would it be optimal to put an adjustable Z axis on the gantry (could that create a weight induced problem during acceleration and slowing down).
Choose an IR module with a long Dof for fine tuning, (Are short focus & short Dof the same thing?).
And use a Core xy system. I heard it has advantages such as smooth motion, good curving and low vibration and motor stress.
And then adjust the settings to optimal during material tests.
